An informed electorate
To promote an informed electorate through political education.
The Batavia Township Republicans are the party of Lincoln and Reagan. We work at the local level — the level where a neighbor's vote is won or lost — for freedom, opportunity, and integrity, and for a Batavia that is a good place to work, live, and raise a family.
Our mission
To promote an informed electorate through political education.
To recruit, support, and elect Republican candidates in Batavia Township and Kane County.
To stand for limited government, personal responsibility, and the free enterprise that follows from both.
To give every Batavia Republican a practical way to take part, starting with their own precinct.
What the seal says
Batavia was settled in 1833 and incorporated in 1872, and by the late 1800s it was the windmill-manufacturing capital of the world — three factories along the Fox River built the self-governing windmills that pumped water for farms and railroads across the West. That past is still visible downtown, where the historic district's storefronts are built of locally quarried limestone and the 1854 railroad depot is now a free museum. Today the Riverwalk, the Saturday Farmers' Market on North River Street and the Windmill City Festival bring the town together, and Fermilab's 6,800-acre campus — more than a thousand acres of it restored prairie — calls Batavia home.
